Workshopped | 2008, 2010, 2012
The WORKSHOPPED exhibition is an annual event on the Sydney design calendar who's mission is to promote excellence in Australian product design both locally and internationally. I discovered Workshopped back in 2008 and have since participated in a number of Workshopped exhibitions.
FLOWERY SERIES, 2012
Flowery series are rings that explore floral containment and space. The patterns within the ring space structure are inspired by graphic floral anatomy. The use of colour reference blossoming and growth and sets a contrast to the surface articulation within the object.
BLOSSOM RING BOX, 2010
Inspired by the floral theme of the Japanese 'plum blossom', the objects explore the relationship between an integrated box and jewellery ring component. The visual dynamic of the object and wearable explores the concept of the floral motif from a 2-dimensional graphic (surface of box design) to a 3-dimensional form (ring design).
EARRING BOXES, 2008
Jewellery and object vessels which reflect the integral relationship between two active vessels; the wearer and the jewellery container. The jewellery has a duality whether in use or not, shifting between the two landscapes, the body and the box.
